Due to Covid -19 our courses are running online.

Please read the disclaimer below, consider the outcomes and decide if you are able to continue to participate in the course.

When running your own course, it is vital that you have your own disclaimer to protect you and to comply with your insurance.

Online Disclaimer

I am aware of my own health and physical condition, and having knowledge that my participation in any exercise program may be injurious to my health, am voluntarily participating in a physical activity.

Having such knowledge, I hereby acknowledge this release, any representatives, agents and successors from liability for accidental injury or illness which I may incur as a result of participating in the said physical activity. I hereby assume all risks connected therewith and consent to participate in said program.

It is good practice to run a verbal screen before participants take part in any exercise session.

You will want to know if there are any changes to their conditions, any new diagnoses, symtoms, side effects, falls or new medication and anything else that may affect their health and safety or ability within the class setup.

Anything unconfirmed or unstable will need to be re-referred back to the Clinician and a clearance given to partake in the exercise sessions. Use your common sense.

Anybody feeling unwell or who has had a fall within 48hours, not been checked or has deteriorated in their conditon should not be allowed to take part. This is to protect you but also to ensure the health and safety of the client.

Preventative medications ie inhalers , GTN spray etc MUST be brought to class or they CANNOT take part. Symptoms can be exacerbated by exercise and consider how you would cope with the class if you had a medical emergency and the client did not have their medications.

Any incidents and emergencies, falls or events must be recorded in the venue’s accident book and recorded/ reported for your own records.
